Champions League or bust for Moyes & Manchester United

There is no Premier League title to fight for. There is no FA Cup nor even the Capital One Cup any more. Manchester United are down to their last chance for a trophy; the Champions League. Every other avenue of success was shut off. All but this.   David Moyes now needs to be more than a presence on the sidelines who tells observers what is going wrong and makes promises to fix it. His tenure will not be defined by these two fixtures but United's season will be.  OLYMPIAKOS - MAN UTD  PREVIEW: Will Moyes' men leave Greece with a healthy first-leg advantage? Kelantan to promote "Visit Malaysia" as part of RM1 Million deal

2013 FA Cup champions, Kelantan have received a whopping RM1 Million sponsorship from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture as part of a deal where they will promote Visit Malaysia during their upcoming AFC Cup campaign. According to Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, the Minister of Tourism and Culture, he stated that the football scene can be a great medium to promote the tourism industry and as well as helping the Visit Malaysia 2014 campaign, which leads to the sponsorship of Kelantan.  Astro Arena reported that the Red Warriors were chosen because they have showed great performances in every game they have played, which makes them one of the strong forces in the local football scene.  Nazri also explained that the presence of players from other countries in every game and the logo “Visit Malaysia” on their jerseys will help the promotion, including when it appears on television.  He is also confident that this sponsorship can give great returns to the ministry.  Kelantan will take part in AFC Cup for a third season in a row and they have targeted to reach at least the quarter-final of this year’s edition.  According to their President, Tan Sri Annuar Musa, Kelantan must win their group or at least finish inside the top two spots in the group stage.  Kelantan are in the Group G with Yangon United from Myanmar, XM Vissai Ninh Binh from Vietnam and China Pegasus from Hong Kong.  Selangor are the other team from Malaysia in the AFC Cup, with the Red Giants in Group F together with Ha Noi T&T from Vietnam, Arema Indonesia from Indonesia and Maziya S&R from Maldives.

FAM: Referees in Malaysia to use new "communication system".

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has affirmed its intention to boost the quality of refereeing within the country, by ordering a new communication system that will assist them in making decisions during matches.  Plenty has been said about the poor decisions from referees in the Super League, and FAM has now responded to those claims by taking this move.  Speaking to reporters, FAM Secretary General, Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin said: "We have already ordered the communication system for our referees, in order to improve the quality of decision making on the pitch. We will most likely have it by the end of this month." Besides that, FAM are also keen on experimenting with the idea of having two extra assistant referees on the goalline, and the system could be implemented in the Malaysia Cup if the results prove to be effective.  "We will allow the referee committee to test the system as well as the idea of using four assistant referees instead of two. This method will be trialled in some of the friendly games that will be held this year, and if it's good enough, we will implement it in the Malaysia Cup next August.  "We are aware that this step is not going to entirely solve the problem, but it clearly shows that we are doing our level best to improve the refereeing standards within the nation," Hamidin concluded.
